No reply to my pm asking if you shipped a replacement.

Can you give me a chance mate?

You do realise that we live in different time zones don't you?

Please refund my $$$. Thanks

Excuse me? We are currently communicating by PM regarding me sending you a replacement kit for the lost kit on monday.

I have already prepared this kit and have just PM'd you to confirm the address for postage at your request and I then see this comment on my thread.

I have been nothing but helpful and and responsive to you and it really is not my fault that your kit may have got lost in the post.

I have checked your address in the paypal notes and a possible reason for your kit not turning up is the fact that you had written it down alll in a line and I possibly may of broken it up wrong when I printed out the label for it. These addresses are unfamiliar to people from other countries and these things can happen.

On the other hand your kit may very well still turn up but either way, I have been fully helpful and cooperative and offered you a replacement regardless of the reason.

So can you please tell me. Do you want a replacement kit or do you want a refund? It is no skin off my nose either way but I need to know before monday morning as this is when it will get sent out.

Kind Regards,

Julian.

Sorry for the rant. Im dealing with other people the took my $$$ and I dont have s**t to show for it. Im just venting. All's' good ..... thanks

Try to keep in mind; you live in the NW corner of the United States. I'm sure he's shipped them general post (@ $19.99USD I couldn't imagine shipping any other method as he's barely making anything on these kits at that price), which is usually quoted anywhere between 15-30 business days (which is roughly 6 weeks max, or close to 1.5 months) to arrive at an oversea's destination - of all the kits he's posted, you're the farthest away. I'm really not surprised that it hasn't arrived yet.

Although, what Julian posted about your address being printed out incorrectly could be another issue all together; because from my experience, "Postal Service" is an oxymoron. They could be lazy and be like, "...they missed a letter on the street name", and just junked the post...

Either way, he was willing to deal with the postal stuff himself to try and recover your lost parcel.

Also, the guy was willing to ship out a whole other kit for you out of his own pocket; does that really sound like someone that just ripped you off?

For a business that he runs out of his mother's basement (for all we know, no offense Julian; I'm just making a point) thats some excellent customer service.

In the future, please try to keep the personal disputes personal. There's no need to spam a users thread with slander unless there are several members being ripped off/ignored. There's not too many members here that would rip a fellow member off, and those members that would, have been outted in a proper fashion and banned for life.

Maybe its just the old man in me talking but I'd like to think that everyone deserves to be treated with respect on this forum, until the day they provide a reason not to be.

I received and installed the courtesy light kit the other day. I don't think it even took 2 weeks to my door, actually forgot i ordered them.
Very pleased with the results and the brightness of the leds.
For those clear courtesy lenses you mentioned, do you by any chance have a part number for them?
Thanks a bunch,
James

Its not that difficult at all, the instructions imo were quite detailed so i didn't seem to have any issues. Just have to have patience when it comes to the heater controls.
As for the clock, unless im mistaken there isn't an led need to be changed. Just have to replace light filter with the colored one you ordered.
You have to rotate the led 180* if it doesn't work, only works 1 way.

And to CELL_PROTOTYPE_X , my cig lighter ring doesnt light up too well either when the lighter is in. I never use mine so i just took it out and now the led is bright. I have a feeling i either installed it wrong or its terribly dirty. If you figure it out, please lmk?

I don't think the cigarette ring is supposed to light up which is kind of crappy.. I just leave mine out as well. And yes the CC unit is def the most time consuming part. It's possible to do it without breaking anything so don't get frustrated to the point you decide to just rip it out lol.

The cigarette ring does not really light up that well due to the plastic that it is made of. The igniition riing has a similar setup but seems to light much better.

You need to make sure that the LED is facing inwards towards the ring as indicated in the instructions though as this will give you the maximum illumination of the ring. Even on a good one, with the led setup nicely, it can look like the light never fully reaches around to the other side when the cigarette lighter is in place but it is certainly brighter with an smd led then it is with the stock bulb.

Watch this video below to see how my kit should look if it is fitted properly and make sure that the led is at a 90 angle and facing towards the middle of the ring.:-)

Thanks for the input! I must have skipped the part about bending the led to a 90 and pointing it toward the ring. I'll try that and see what the results are.
