Spree- thanks for the info! good to know. So jsut to be completely straight your kit changes everything but the turn indicators on the cluster?
a couple more questions-

For the courtesy lights- how much are those? what are the colors to choose from?

how much would be a set of courtesy lights and the full led conversion be?

thank you!

Hi mate,

To hopefully clear things up. The kit changes all the backlighting on the dash so the indication lights still light up the correct colour. If they lit up the same colour as the backlighting then you wouldn't be able to see them enough. Plus you have the issue of the light filters for those.

I do however supply a light filter for the clock with the kit.

So the kit converts :

1. Instrument cluster backlighting - 3 bulbs
2. Ignition ring - 1 bulb
3. Cigarette lighter ring - 1 bulb
4. Climate control backlighting - 3 bulbs (not the button indication light the tells you what is activated as again, this is more difficult as it requires soldering and I would want a contrasting colour in there anyway)
5. Clock - Custom light filter

I can also supply the extra led's needed if you have the toyota fog light switch, headlight level adjuster switch and the headlight washer switch.

I can supply the courtesy kit in the same colour range that I can supply the dash kit.

Blue, Red, White, Green, Amber, Pink, UV Purple

The dash kit's are $39.99 delivered.

The courtesy kits are $39.99 delivered.

If you by both together they are $79.99 delivered plus you get the sidelight led's and the licence plate led's thrown in for free.

I can provide bulbs and instructions for the extra three switches on the dash if you have them for $7.99 on top of a dash kit or I would have to charge $5 for shipping on top if you just wanted the kit for the three switches only.

Hope that is clear enough..? Don't worry about asking any more questions if it isn't. I have a terrible cold right now so might not be thinking clearly!

No that perfect, totally answers all my questions! thanks man! biggrin.gif
I will getting both the kits soon, should i pm you for details?

Wow that was quick!

Thanks for the nice feedback. I really appreciate it actually as I have also created a roller skate lighting kit that I sell on eBay and somebody has just totally ripped off my product and even copied and pasted the text from my listing word for word. I feel like I would if somebody had stolen something physical from me... I put a lot of hard work into it and somebody is freeloading from it. Grrr

Hi,

Yeah I can provide you with that. The bulb for this has to be fitted into the standard holder so I will have to provide instructions on how to do it.

I will PM you.

Spree.

Has anyone got any pics of the bulbs? Are they quad t10's?

I've done this on mine (not with this kit) with a 3x single t10 blue bulb, and it doesn't illuminate the cluster anywhere near as much as this kit does. Might buy a kit biggrin.gif

so what are you thinking for the headlights? I would deff consider buying led headlights =D

I probably won't do led headlights as they are not legal in the UK at least and do not provide enough output to use for this purpose. You need to have the refector designed for the bulb and our cars are designed for normal old style incandescant bulbs. You can't really beat phillips bluevision in our cars imho.

Sorry mate!

Also I will be posting some better pics soon as I finally have a decent camera.

Here is one from the other night.

what color is this?

Hey Guys,

Finally finished my Spree LED install. I initially went for a red speedo cluster, and after about 2 months I have installed the full blue kit, and I am very happy with the results (Also pleased that now I can actually see when I get warning lights on the dash tongue.gif).

Before:

After:

In the dark:

And a wide angle shot for fun tongue.gif

Install is relatively easy, especially once you have the hang of how your dash comes apart. One recommendation though is to take the full centre fascia off, even if you are only changing the 3 speedo bulbs - I only took the cluster out the first time I changed them and getting the ribbon connections off and back on again on the back was a nightmare... however this is really simple when you can just stick your hand in from around the side! smile.gif

Thanks Julian! smile.gif

Kind Regards,
Joshua smile.gif

Glad you are happy Joshua!

Climate control is not that hard, you just need to have an afternoon or evening free so don't rush it.
