Hey guys,
Finally getting my boost controller sorted out. I bought an Apexi AVC-R. Initially, I was planning on using the AVC-R to monitor injector duty cycle, as more of a safety feature than anything else. However, after reading more and more about it, most people (non-3sgte based) are recommending hooking the purple wire up to the rpm signal, rather than injector duty. Apparently the way the unit judges its own duty cycle at specific rpms can significantly improve the response of the unit. I'm assuming that start duty can't be controlled with the injector "setup"? My question is, for people using it in a 3sgte (gen 3), what is your recommendation for which signal to monitor? Another thought I had was to maybe hook it up to both and use a switch in the cabin to switch from one to the other. Keep it hooked up to the rpm signal wire 99% of the time, but still have the ability to switch over to injector duty just to keep a close eye on the fuel system. Has anyone done this? Would the rpm based settings on the AVC-R be lost while monitoring injector duty cycle? Thanks for the info. Nick |
