Alrighty, progress of the box and final product.
ports glued and screwed my roomate thought it'd be fitting to have a written apology to the Lake Havasu PD inside the box Test fit of the lid. First layer of fiberglass resin didn't take any pictures of the rest of the resin Also bondo'd near edges and screws Primed and near "babies bottom" smooth After a nice white is laid and dry, the SUB and BOX meet for the first time. Love at first sight LOL And then the two take place in their final home. Soon to be bass made in heaven And all buttoned back up and proper, So much for trunk space.. Box: 34" x 25" x 14" Dual 3" Ports Amp: Autotek MM 1000.1D 1000w RMS Sub: RE Audio SXX 15" Dual 2ohm VC Wired parallel to 1ohm at 1000w RMS -------------------- 6gcHeroes:808hectortimmybatmandiegotigamak |

That's easy... inside the box XD Ahh, but of course! lol anyway I guess its sort of an update, I wanted to see how long I could run the new system without upgrading the electrical.. about 2.5 days... lol my car nearly lost all power going to work today, even though i turned the bass eq to -2 and volume offset to -3. i have 0 gauge on it's way to upgrade the big 3. and will be adding a yellow top to the system in two weeks. anyone have input on HO Alternators?? I'm tempted but dont want to run the risk if frying any wires with too much juice. Also I don't see the justice in shelling out for an auto GT's alternator for only 10 extra amps. ebay offers a 160Amp HO alt. but not sure on quality -------------------- 6gcHeroes:808hectortimmybatmandiegotigamak |

Also I don't see the justice in shelling out for an auto GT's alternator for only 10 extra amps. ebay offers a 160Amp HO alt. but not sure on quality As long as the high output alt has a good voltage regulator you won't fry any electronics. Remember alt doesn't push power through electronics, all it does is keep the battery charged for all the electronics to drink from it. When you start having dimming problems and such it's because the alternator can't keep up with the stuff on the car draining the battery. Our stock alts are very weak (manual celica I believe is 80 amps?) 160AMP alt is good enough for your system. You should look into Diehard Platinum and Sears AGM batteries. They're cheaper than the Optima and are just as good if not better. Compare Optima to Royal Purple. -------------------- 1993 Celica GT Coupe - sold
