Fittment issues - huge as the ST205 throttle inlet in in the middle of cylinder 2 & 5 and the 5S is side inlet. Still doable but with loads of fabrication. Easier to go front mount. |

Dont see why it wouldnt work. then again, dont see why you would want to do it. Should work if you use either a 3rd or 5th gen intake manifold. The Intercooler MIGHT be a bit loose due to lack of mounting holes that would normally be on the 3sgte yet not on the 5sfe. Otherwise, dont see why it would work.

major clearance issues, you'd have to cut off and make longer mounts on the w2a and tack on some nuts to the head, then the bonnet wouldnt close because the fe head is taller than the g* head. the g* head is recessed to fit the w2a in the same space as an fe head normally takes.
also a 3s-gte intake manifold could be used though, with a custom S-bend throttle body mouth to meet the raised intercooler -------------------- Mike W

Ever thought about adding a swirl pot/header tank as well? Just a few other thoughts after reading too much of a certain persons post on a certain forum lol...

Custom, boot mounted, extra water pump, run hoses through firewall and under carpet (yeah there will be a buldge)
ive got alot of ideas in my head on how to keep ice particles out of the impeller , and how to stop the ice from blocking the flow. it involves sectioning off areas and some mesh, but yeah ideas for trick design are in my head -------------------- Mike W

But yea the mesh should work well enough to keep the ice out. What type of intercooler are you planning on running. Keeping stock, or something newer?
