Lol, you SHOULD hope your GF stepped on it and make her get you a new one
The screen intself will set you back around $100 or so off ebay, and if your confident in some fiddling around, it wont be too hard. Ive never had a toshiba, or any other laptop than my old Dell, but its all fairly simple. Undo all the screws on the bottom/sides... remove all the plastics you can, and the screen should be connected by roughly (on my dell) 1 simple wire, and a connector tab. They both unclip faily easy, so it should be a simple plug and play. Your old screen should have screws around it aswell holding the lid/plastic surroundings on it aswell which you'll have to undo to replace the screen. Just remember exactly what you unscrew/take out.. making a video may even help, and replace it all the same way once done. I would not recommend you try to replace the screen yourself if you aren't a tech buff. Instead you should still be able to get a refund for this as most stores have a 30 day unconditional return policy.

If you can't get a refund, its really simple.
That video guides you right through it, its easier than i thought. Basically undo 10 or so screws, unclip the plastic cover and unplug the screen. the screen has a part number adn info behind it if you need it. -------------------- |

lucky for him his is easy to replace but it also depends how good you are at doing things like this, my uncle is amazing at cars but delicate things like computers forget it. I am in no way trying to say you are stupid eastern, I just don't know if you are comfortable with this kind of stuff.
I would first try to see if you can return it as it would save you money -------------------- Power in Balance 90 ST coupe- Sold 95 ST hatch- Dead :’( 02 Impreza RS- DD |

yea I'm a computer nerd and i've replaced it all on a laptop. check with toshiba for the part # and look it up on ebay. or use the model # on ebay to find a generic one. check youtube for disassembly or screen replacement "how-to's" as they are OFTEN on there. chances are you'll be fine based on your handy skills around a car. good luck.

Its easy bro, i ve done it several times... just buy a same model with a burned cpu, and then replace the whole lid. unless you want to do lcd surgery, which is also easy but tedious.
