Have the air bag light on. Code is 31 which is faulty center air bag sensor.

Where is it located? Is replacing it the only way of fixing it?

i feel your pain man mine popped code 31 earlier this week....and yeah basicly what you need to do is look on this site http://bgbonline.celicatech.com/6g/ under airbag stuff and do the secondary code search which will tell you if its just say wiring screwed, loose connection or center sensor failure....but yeah easy way is to replce center sensor...as thats basicly your airbag ECU..my worry is say if i get in a accident if it will deploy bags or not.......good luck...im trying to work on getting a parts car from auction but IAAI wants 200$ just for annual fee when i will only be using it once......arg!

edit: whoops forgot to say its located under center console, directly under armrest/storage area bolted to floor so you gotta remove shifter trim and 2 screws from under there and then 2 12mm bolts under the felt pad in storage area

I try going to http://bgbonline.celicatech.com/6g/ then Restraints then Airbags. But the PDF don't work.

How do I get the secondary code?
