Is there anything I can do to the 7A head, instead of having to go with a different head like a 4AG Big Port?

you can port it. If you can find an upgraded valve spring, you can put those in and raise your redline another 2000 RPM's but i dont think the cams will give you any help there

Can I get a better set of cams? If so what would be your suggestion?

webcams might be able to do a regrind on them.
