We at RT-Performance had been making quite a lot of products for the 6G celica and have notices that aside from mostly European countries, not everyone's been benefiting from our exclusive line of products.
We understand that on larger items, postage can be expensive to be sent to countries such as the USA or far east.

Quite often we host group buys in other celica forums which offers on average of 10% extra discount on top of club discounts.
By manufacturing our producs in larger batches, it saves us time and expenses which we can then pass to our customers.

What I'd like to ask from members of the 6G forum is to list away what you'd like to buy from us in the very near future and state what country you are in.
Please be reasonable and not put your name down for everything carbon we make, yet you know you can't afford it untill 2012 or when you win the lotto or get out of prison depending on trial.

That way we'll be able to gauge an interest ina potential group buy and I can see if I can offer either a further discount or find a way for a reduced bulk shipping to other countries.

Note: This is not a gruop but yet but may do at a later date depending on what members want.
The aim of this is so that we're able to identify what's in demand and help meet our customers needs.

Yea, ray, from everything I've seen, your stuff is reallllllly top notch, it's the fact that your prices are expensive (rightfully so, not at all complaining), because of the high quality, and then shipping on top of that, especially on the larger items, make it cost prohibitive for most of us here.
I can't commit to buying anything, but if I were going to, I would love the bumper you guys made along with a carbon '4 hood

Presure pretty much hit the nail on the head with his post. I've always had my eye on the FRP TRD kit you produce, as well as the front and rear strut tower bars. I can't commit to buying these items either, but they are definitely on my list of things to save up for.

I have plans to purchase your carbon fiber hood, trunk, and radiator within the next 7 months. (hopefully before i paint my car)...that is, if you are still selling it. Its pretty expensive shipping to be shipping from your home country, all the way to japan...

Totally understandable guys.
When it comes to pricing, we have to look at it on a larger scale across the modified car scene and compare what we make with other suppliers.
We're not in the same class as local hobbi fabricators and nor does the outcome of our products can be compared to.
We've tried some working with some talanted local traders and it never worked out hence we've stayed on top with quality in mind.
When it comes to potage, aside from sending in bulk, there really isn;t much you can do.
It costs on average £200-270 for something the size of a bonnet, boot or full kit to be sent to the US.
However with more quantity of the same item it would only increas approx £30-40 more so it's worth finding anyone local to you willing to split the cost of postage.
Some things like Skirts which are really desirable we can stack about 5 pairs within each other and not have to increase in postage price.
We had a buyer from Malta who bought a couple of kits from us and sold them in his local shop and made profit because good 6g parts are difficult to get hold of so its worth thinking about it if you're one of those amongst a group of frineds with a 6G to arrange something like that.

Your biggest problem is demographics. Whereas most of your customers over there simply have more money to play around with. Most of the board members in the us are teenagers. Therefore their disposable income is vastly different than a working professional. And that with really high shipping costs, and lower quality, but more local vendors here just doesn't add up fir a lot of success in the US

I've definately had my eyes on the TRD kit as well, but like everyone else, it is just not cost effective for me right now.
I'd rather spend the money on something else, and when I have more disposable income, order the high quality product from you in the future, rather than order a lower quality TRD replica now.

I see your point.
Most members in the celica club UK and GT4OC are generally older compared to the owners in the states.
In the USA you can drive a 2ltr car and obtain a licence at a much younger age then in the UK.
Though the 6G isn't very expensive, it's extremely expensive to own and to run one in the UK.
I have to admit that the type of modding in the 6G are of a lower budget then other forums and I can understand why.
One thing I should point out though when it comes to kits like skirts, when you buy a cheaper set which don't fit properly, you're more likely to spend more in total just making it fit compared to buying a kit which does fit.
We've seen it far too many times in our body shop when customers bring us kits which doesn't fit properly and we have to bill them extra for the extra work to make them fit.

Yea exactly, that's why i'd rather not run no kit at all over a poorly fitted kit.
But your stuff does look top notch!

On a side note, does your licensing system state ristrictions on the cars you can drive by motor size?

I think the other market difference is that most UK customers are running a 3S-G(T)E, engine choices which are more likely to attract modification than US owners running the 7A or 5S.

Not really but Insurance in the UK is the biggest problem. If you're 18 and drive a 1.8 SS1 your most likely going to spend around £700 to buy the car and then pay around £2000 on insurance being a first time driver. Then you have expenses like MOT and road tax. SO you can see as a young driver, most people tend to drive a 1.0ltr or 1.4ltr tops for around 2-4 years before getting a bigger cc car.

yes very true. Though the 3SGTE isn't that common here still and becoming more and more rare, most of our clients are serious track users or GT4 fans who don't mind spending more money than what the car is worth.

Sorry we've discontinued that line. We offered it for a year and barely sold any so decided not to renew the mould. I said it before when we stopped our carbon kits, and say it again. Get them whilst you can.
