I was browsing through car-part.com the other day and noticed the 91-93 camry v6 5sp on some pages had lexus es250 listed under it for other cars it will fit, so the question is basically is the es250 transmission from the 91 the same transmission that is in the camry v6 and MR2 essentially?

i thought it was the lexus es300, but i could be wrong. the mr2 e153 from 91-92 is NON-lsd and the mr2 93+ should all have a stock LSD --but you still have to switch the gear shift assembly around like I did. (not difficult & you can use it from your e154f)
if i remember correctly i believe the toyota solara also came in a v6 w/a e153. it might have slighty longer gearing. I'll try to find the article. -------------------- proud =3sgte SWAPPED= '95 Celica ST owner [calling it the GT2 or half-trac]

not all 93+ mr2 e153s are LSD. it was an option starting in 93.
the es300 uses the FWD e153, as well as the solara V6 and camry V6. it wouldnt suprize me if it was in the es250 as well. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

Good to hear Manny, I found one at a junkyard up here for $250, granted i already have the S54 that works i thought about it and having that taller final drive will be nice seeing as i commute 60 miles every day

you want the Solara E153, it has the newest synchros and best gearing for highway driving
