Well, you can guess what this one is about. I was on my way to school today about 30miles from my house. I got about 1/2 way there and i see this guy pull out of a high school in a red vette. I followed him trying to get a closer look. The car was pretty much stock but it still looked really good. After following him thru the middle of town doin 70 in a 35 we stopped beside each other at the red light. As I expected he revs his engine and looks over at me. I knew there was no way I could outrun him , but out of pride I did what any self-respecting Celica owner would do....Floored it for all she was worth. I actually did a fair job of keepin up.. much better than I thought I would especially after we got up to around 110 mph. The moral of this story is one we all know... never race anyone w/ a v8 corvette.

Quote of the day, i love it.

What year was the Vette? The late 80's and early 90's Vettes dont carry much weight in my book but the newer ones are pretty and fast, however its a V8, and ur a 4...he shoulda destroyed you...but thats the American car, all cylinders, not enuf power.

my 86 vette would run high 13's to low 14's. Not bad for a $8k car.

I have a lot of respect for Corvettes. Especially the Z06... 12.x sec 1/4 mi. STOCK.. that's nice.. and it looks and SOUNDS nice too..

well tried though. I'd probably do the same thing in the Celica biggrin.gif
