About a year ago I made a thread in here showing my lastest purchase, a S13.5 in rough shape that had a KA24DE, automatic, bumper was thrashed, cosmetically needed alot of work ( still does havent even touched that yet ). Well so far I've swapped in a SR20DET ( Redtop ) 28K miles REALLY rare speedo came with the swap.
Went ahead and upgraded pretty much everything with new OEM parts or aftermarket upgrades. New OEM gaskets and Seals Metal exhaust manifold gasket and metal intake manifold gaskets Massive GReddy intercooler good for 800HP Exedy Hyper single clutch Fidanza flywheel New transmission seals Apexi 1.4MM Head gasket w/ ARP headstuds Rebuilt 36 Way coilovers New water pump, and oil pump ( OEM ) Modified KA Power steering pump Aluminum 3 row radiator 2 flew lite electric fans nismo thermostat ( lowers opening temp by 15 degrees ) List goes on theres TONS more. Cosmetically it isnt great, I get compliments from locals all the time and it always draws attention but it is FAR from a looker, Next month im ordering a full kit front rear and sides, then its off to get the body work done and paint work done. After paint comes window tint, interior is after that. Leaning towards a dark purple with a black top re clearing the CF hood, and painting the CF trunk ( dont like it at all cant find a OEM to replace it so I'll just paint it. ) My buddy's doing the painting and since I can remove the engine/ harness, ext in less than a hour the engine bay is getting painted. The interior is gutted, so its getting painted as well once the cage is installed ( 8pt Cusco ). Here are some pics I just snapped outside for a little bit of reference, right now T1 dyno sheet ( cant find a pic ) but it was tuned on a S15 T28 with my HKS actuator and it put down just over 300RWHP maxing the injectors on full duty cycle. Easily capable of more with better fuel. Now I ordered another S13 Redtop recently from a importer, just the block and head, this summer its getting a built block, and built head and by winter the new turbo setup is going on, as well as new fuel, and my Haltech standalone. Basically heres what it looks like right now, just went to the garage and snapped these: again it isnt a looker ( yet ) im more focused on the engine than looks right now. This is for the new setup this summer/autumn Bare with me, the engine is coming out tonight for a new upgrades. New transmission backing plate, new TOB, KOYO Aluminum radiator, Blitz high pressure rad cap, over sized water pump pulley, and a GReddy oil pan, with baffles. I thought I'd share since I still browse this forum every few days, and believe it or not I really do miss my under powered 6gc with its 5sfe. Comments welcome just dont criticize please, I dont have BooKoo money, I make like 3K mo and im only 20. I save and buy quality parts and upgrade slowly but surely. AND ALSO to add that harness is getting shipped off in the next 2 weeks and getting a FULL tuck from a Zilvia member it will be loomed in Braided black SS lines, ignitor and everything moved inside the car fuse box moved inside the car as well. I'll post some pics if anyone is actually interested. |
