the swap is only 1 year and 5 months old, and only 500 miles since the swap.

the car has not been driven a lot the last 7 months. It almost went on a empty tank of gas.

Long story short, about two weeks ago decided to daily drive it again. The hesitation was new, but i took the maf out and exchanged it for another one, and added fresh gas to the tank, the hesitation went away. I have been out of the country for about 10 days.

I came to drive the car and the hesitation is now back.

At first, (two weeks ago) It was not all the time, its like suddenly lost power to one cylinder and then it came back. Difficult to explain. I use to give it gas and then it was better.

but today its most of the time, but it disappears for a few seconds. I know there is nothing wrong with the engine compression, but im concerned of course with :

1. Injector clogged
2. Vaccum leak
3. Bad sparks
4. bad maf

This engine used to purr like a kitten, but im afraid its lack of use may have caused this.

I have a can of seafoam ready to use, before i start taking the route of cleaning the injectors profesionally and wasting money.

here are some videos..

car is at idle:shocked:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0LC_euE7pg

driving slow in the street, i try to give it some gas to clean the obstruction, so that's me accelerating, the car does not do that. Just bogs down...:tear:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fugSnfmqS30

Should i just seafoam it or where do you guys send your injectors if that seems to be the problem...

I had a similar problem way back, mine would pop and bog during regular acceleration and even at a constant speed at 65 when I was on the highway. It was kind of whenever too - didn't do it all the time. Anyway, I pushed in all the plugs at the dist. cap one day after a buddy made the suggestion and it had no prob whatsoever after that for several days. Then, it started doing it again so I replaced the cap and plugs and wires - solved the problem.

thanks for the responses, but i have no rotor or plug wires, lol.

failed to mention its a 3s-ge beams with coil packs... but yes, will check the coil packs, and sparks first, then go ahead and do the injectors and throttle cleaning later..

the only thing i have done bad is not running it frequently, so i suspect gum in the injector. but dang i have to remove so much to work on it!!!

oh well. ill keep posted...

I dont think the injectors will gum up from a few months of non-use. if u have like a quarter tank of gas u can try pouring a can of seafoam in there and running it till its almost empty, to clean them up.

Pull the COP and check u have a bright blue spark, if so theyre fine.

I would start with spark plugs though

Looks like low compression or a vac leak to me I'm hoping you did replace the spark plugs when you did the motor swap ??

Good to know. I picked up new plugs already but I'll clean my contacts tomorrow. They were covered in oil, after all.
