Same situatuon, maybe im just stressing the engine...

Fuel: Vortex 98
Ill ttry and find out the rest. I think for now maybe i should stop trying to accelerate in 4th gear up a hill.

I was boosting pretty hard last night through 2-3-4 all through the rpm range. Highest knock recorded was 35.

the chop noise im reasonably sure is the compressor surge. If you have an aftermarket ecu you can help get rid of it with tuning (taking some ign timing out in that part of the map)

as far as the knock goes, well you fan fix that with tuning too. Its possible you got a bad batch of fuel.

most knock does happen in the mid/low range because some tuners spend all the time in the top end and not worry about the mid and low range.

in any car its not wise to load it up with low revs and high throttle openings.

Was at a meet last night, people advise me to get a tune. Getting one done by HITMAN on thursday. Hope that solves some issues. Thinking low boost = stock psi. And high boost = 14psi? Not sure. I will consult the experts.

You cant tune a stock 3sgte ecu...you can probably work the boost controller and fix that surge you are getting though. maybe play with the FPR

yeah thats an awesome idea...not

the better electronic boost controllers can give you a wide scope for adjustment, may allow you to back it off a bit in the higher gear and load and low rev part of the map.
