5sfe is a torqueee motor but it lacks aftermarket support for parts.

What you can do that is realistic is:
Turbo it, SMAAY has a bolt on kit for the most part.

Or N/A
Cams
Wires
Plugs
Intake
headers
Downpipe
Exhaust
Flywheel
Clutch
ignition
and tune it correctly.

Cams aren't that pricey really. I got a set from Colt Cams for my Celica for $435 shipped back to me. Haven't gotten them yet but they're coming. Anyway, that and you can P&P the head, shave the block, tune it. Lots of money but if you got to rebuild it or something then you can do that stuff then. Otherwise, an engine swap or turbo it like others said.
