Drilling rims will be very difficult and unsafe. You're modifying a highly enginnered piece of metal.

It be difficult to drill the holes perfectly square. (it might wobble like an unbalanced tire...permanently)

I doubt the holes will be counter sunk, making it weaker, and also u run the chance of disturbing the structural stability by taking out metal so close to other holes in it. the center of the wheel sees the most torque = deformation under acceleration/braking.
