is it true they were a better version of the kyb's?

I believe these two shocks are the same but branded differently  KYB Super Special 4 way Adjustable  from what edophus said TRD only use KYB Specific TRD Cartridges in which I can vouch for him since trd coilovers aren't rebuild-able like tein, megan d2 and every other coilover out there for our celica's... thats what i tought. im thinking of getting kybs and painting them to match TRD. since trd are discontinued...

the only short stroke cartridge available for our celica is KYB specific struts used on the TRD Coilovers. The only ones that I know of that we can use on our celica's are KYB GR2 which are cheap and affordable. Another non adjustable kyb shocks are the KYB SR Special. Even those are around $175 per shock and at that rate you'd be better off buying adjustable koni yellow's...
