Hey,
First off, there maybe a reason people haven't replied... because there are a few threads on how and what you'll need for the swap. I for one did this swap. always use the search bar at the top and you'll find threads about it in the Forced Induction forums. so in the future please try using that I will help ya out though. motor mounts depend on what Transmission you are wanting to put in the car. the GT 5S-FE Trans you need to drill a couple holes in the body and thats about it. the MR2 E153 needs more work for it to be installed (I don't know what sorry) the Celica 3S-GTE trans can't be used unless you plan on doing a huge conversion so AWD. Assuming you go with the 5S-FE route, you need a few things for the transmission: GT Axles GT Shifter cables, a clutch kit with a 3S clutch and a 5S pressure plate GT Pass side mount. for the Engine: I suggest switching out the steering pump line/s that run to the linkage. at least pump to linkage. its a bitch otherwise and not worth it (I know) you will need the GT(or GT4) reservoir for the steering fluid and the lines as well. GT coolant lines (at least the radiator lines) GT radiator. Accel cable and all the little gauges you want. mainly boost. if you keep the water to air intercooler, the front radiator water pump and lines (there are metal ones) you will need to make or get the original pump rely. Generally I think thats about it. it all depends on what you want to do with it. good luck and have a blast. oh if you keep the Original hood and front, you will need to cut some of the hood frame if you keep the water to air intercooler. the hood will cut into the intercooler. Pretty much everything Kevin said, but I have a little bit to add. I suggest, as would everyone who has done the swap, that you get a clip rather than a motor set. That way, you'll have most everything you need. You'll also need a new fuel pump to handle the added demand. A Walbro 255 seems to be the pump of choice. Otherwise, Kevin pretty much nailed it. Browse the forced induction forum and you'll find the answers to any question you have along the way.

Kevin thanks for all the help im new to the site and intermediate mechanically speaking but my dads a mechanic and i went to school for welding so were gonna do every thing our selves but im going to build the engine a little bit before i put it in and when i looked around some people would say that the 5sfe trans would burn out but others say its good if you did it and is working good than thats what i will do. and my last question is when buying the engine the 3rd gen 3ste is only jdm so will i have to rewire the the whole thing or is it pretty simple or should i just get the 2nd gen 3sgte. i love this car and what it can be and love seein bs civics that sound like **** i just wish the 6th gen gt four was released in the us. |

Go with the 3rd gen 3S. The wiring is much simpler. You'll have to do some minor wire work but that is all discussed in detail in the Forced Induction forum. The S54 trans from the GT is generally accepted as being fine up to around 300 hp and after that, you should use the E153 trans from an MR2 or Camry/Solara. The S54 will have a little more torque steer unless you install a limited slip diff.
