Why fully insured? Our cars are way to old to gain any benefit from a full insurance. Only reason to go for full insurance will be if you have your car evaluate, and then have a insurence based on the evaluation.
I have a '94 JDM Gt-four and it's now insured for the mandatory liability + theft and fire. Value of the car at this moment (according to the insurance company) is only €5500,- (what i get if somebody else totalled my car).
I pay a little over €300,- a year for my insurance. I'm 34 years, with 80% discount on the insurance.

I have a few friends who own RHD skylines and silvias here in Ontario. The guys with cars that are only avaible in japan have a harder time trying to get insured than guys who own cars like the silvias. If you tell an insurance company you have a RHD 240sx, its easier than trying to explain what a skyline is. They do however pay a premium and it costs more to insure one of the RHD cars Vs. a LHD version of the same thing. For cheap insurance companies like TD Miloche Monnex, and stuff like that, they wont touch any car that even has aftermarket wheels on it, so look into a good company like Royal Sunlife or something like that. The bigger the company, the easier it is to get insured. As for full coverage, I dont know if they will do full coverage just due to the fact that parts would most likely have to be sourced from japan or through a used jdm business and would mean they would have to rely on shops outside of their networks. But it can be done, just spend some time calling around and gettin quotes. Some places will say right away they wont insure you, other places will need to have the car appraised or have pictures taken of it before they will quote you.

Its hard to find insurance companies that are willing to insure RHD vehicles. You live in Quebec? From what I hear, RHD is banned and new registrations can not be done? Or maybe I'm just thinking new import grey market cars that arrive from overseas?

I pay $188 per month on liability on my ST205. That was with a G2. I should expect my premium to drop after getting my full license.

Yeah but in Ontario pur pay 3x what we pay in Quebec.

I pay 700 yearly fully insured on both sides and all the things that goes with it: fire, theft and vendalism

I'm selling you mine if you want...anyways there's not much St205 in Quebec...
