I don't see what the trouble is.
the axle is in 2 parts. the inner and the outer. They bolt together. the inner goes inside the tranny and bolts to "the 1st CVs after the center bracket" the outer is the CV from that point to the end that goes into the hub. FYI the "center bracket" in your pic is the carrier bearing w/bracket. It clips to the carrier bolted to the bolck. For the e153 you need to use the MR2 turbo carrier and bolt that to the back of the st205 block, then the bearing clips into it and holds the axle in the tranny. Without it the pass side axle slides out of the tranny with nothing holding it in. A that is the "inner" (MR2 turbo, LSD depending) B that is the "outer" NOT FROM AN st205. The 205 axles aren't 2 parts, you cannot in any way use an st205 axle in the e153 tranny. You need to use outers from an st185 or from some camry (I can't remember the years) C full length to me is the entire length. more axle pics here -------------------- |

wtf guy ?
That question is answered 2 times in this thread. if you want to use an e153 tranny you need both inner axles from an MR2 turbo. Then you need the outer halves from an st185. Bolt them together, use a spacer if you want, and that's it. I'll use pictures so maybe you can understand because words aren't working. ^^ axles from 185 on the left and MR2 turbo on right. the GT, ST, ST205, ST185 axles DON'T FIT IN THE E153 TRANNY. MR2 inners DO. MR2 outers DO NOT FIT IN OUR HUBS. ST185 outers DO. GT, ST, and ST205 axles are in one peice, they DO NOT bolt together like the MR2 and st185 axles. so you put the MR2 turbo inners (that go into the tranny, driver and pass side) bolted up with st185 90-93 all-trac outers (driver and pass side because they fit in our Celica hubs). You dig ? If you ask another question that I've already answered it in this thread, I will erease my posts and give you all wrong info. -------------------- |

Surprisingly it almost closes off by itself meaning u dnt have to worry about anything geeting in or out of the tranny as the shift linkage will seal it from the inside then just cover lo whole with a stopper or weld it or w.e but the wholes pretty much sealed from the inside
