Up from the dead. Got mines installed but I got a problem. Stock 204 hood at full lift the shock holds the hood. Tap it down a couple inches and it drops really fast. Another member Luka on here from Hawaii had these on and from what I remember I had to fight the hood to stay down about halfway.

i use both on my st205 hood...doing well so far.

@ 808, could be the fact you got some defect....return to owner and ask for a new set. I had order one and when installing, I couldn't even pull it down with the heavy hood...got a new set and it finally worked. holds it up well and easy to bring down. bet you anything it is probably bad shocks. down side is having to pay for shipping. send a message and provide proof of purchase.

I was thinking to get a set as well. Are the ones from ebay?

yes the ones on ebay.

If the 204 hoods are steel not aluminum then I am at fault, i ordered the wrong ones. Meaning I will be selling mines soon, possibly the ones for an aluminum hood

should not be specific...what i meant was, mines that I have ordered from sokie tech, the strut themselves were back....usually shocks could hold pressure when holding the hood up whether steel or aluminum and when you have them off, just by pushing your weight on it and pressing down, the pressure strut should go down. All im saying is that your struts are not good and return for an exchange. Just saying I used both the hood dampers for my st205 hood although people on the forum said, don't use two because the force is too great on the hood, eh...i used it any way.
