Well I feel like an idiot, I can't find/don't know what stock vacuum hose I need to put on the nipple underneath the intake. Anyone know?
Also, will I be able to pass emission testing with it on? |

Wait I just remembered, look at the pic in my profile, maybe that will help. And as for the tesing, it would probably be better for you to have the stock air box on there, I dunno if they would say anything about an aftermarket one or not, but just to be safe

Well, I installed it. I just put a hose on it that was closed at the other end by a bolt. It works, no check engine light. I'm going to go tommorrow for emission testing and see if the intake is allowed. If not, I have until April to get it passed.

Just dont tell DMV about it...they'll never know. I dont think that a short ram will richen your fuel air mixture enough to keep you from passing. Also i think Injen claims 50 state carb legality or something....thats probably just referring to California. But if you can pass in Cali with one, you could pass anywhere.

Just in case you wanted to know why you couldnt find the vacuum hose, it is more than likely because your car was not made in california. California cars needed an extra hose for stricter emissions standards. I was confused when i put on my injen intake also. I just blocked mine off too. The cars still runs fine without it blocked, but it will make a really load whistling sound. I got sick of the whistling and blocked the hole.

It sounds really nice after 3000 RPMS. You can hear it sucking air in when you have it at idle and your music down. I'm not too sure if I actually feel anything or it's just the sound that makes me think it is helping me out.
I blocked the extra nipple by taking a hose, screwing a bolt in one end, and attaching the other end to the nipple. You probably can use one of the stock hoses that you need to take off but if you cut it in any way, you wouldnt be able to put your stock airbox back on. |

The UK GT has ~170 hp, I'd much rather have that than 135 hp and an Injen intake...

yupp but i want more noise.. well it'll compliment my Blitz Realize TT did send a couple of shots of the engine bay to Injen and was waiting on them to see if they can make a fitment for it.. there'd be a lot of interest in the uk and europe for those then - what with injen being a good name. failing that will have to go and visit the K&N labs by me(about 50 miles away..) |
