lets say you put your car in neutral (N), rev it up to about 2500 rpm, and then put it in drive (D).
you know how the car jerks and shakes the whole car because of all the power jumping into gear.

well my cars been doing that once every other time i switch from N to D.

the engine doesnt really rev but it still reacts asif im doing so.

however its not constant. heres an example of today of when it did that.

started the car this morning,
reversed out of driveway,
put it in Drive (nothing yet, acted normal like its suppose to)
went to the gas station, put it in P
filled up,
reversed since there was a car in front
put in drive again (and it 'jumped' as if i was reving the engine)

any advice of what it could be

on a side note:
my cars making this "dhuck" sound when i accelarate from a stop or decelerate from speed,

its hard to explain in words,

d-man saw it and thinks its something with the tranny, but since i drive it more, i dont think so since its not coming between shifts.

it feels as if everytime the the tranny goes back, it hits something strong but small (like a bolt) and them when im slowing down, its hits it again

this probably doesnt make sense but i figuered if maybe u guys can give an oppinion

my car did something similar when i had the tranny to throttle cable adjusted way off. i adjusted it closer n reset the ecu. it helped.

but in your case, it sounds like a bad front or rear motor mount

I had the same problem with my old 92 stealth. in my case, it was a bad motor mount.

Hmm now I really have to check the motor mount myself.

Thanks everyone

And oil pressure light according to dman:

It's a canny motor. Hence when we were changing the oil pan, we saw alot of othe stuff under there from the camry which doesn't belong in the Celica. Checks the dip stick and it's fine on oil. So nothing to wrry about
Took everything out but a sensor. So on idle the light blinks but goes away when it goes over 1200rpm I think.

If this doesn't sound rite please let me know

If by stuff it doesn't need would that be a large metal box that was bolted to the botom and has little cam looking things in it?
You will want to get that light fixed because its causing an issue the light is blinking every full rotation and on top of having bad motor mounts your going to tear up you bearings.

I agree with hatchy.

an oil pressure sender is an oil pressure sender no matter what car it came from. a 5s from a camry doesnt automatically need less oil pressure when its in a celica, assuming your wiring is sound (and i did a repair on your harness in that area, so unless it got burned up again its sound).

Ill check the light issue too, an if it's the motor mount, shouldn't it do that on every shift rather than just from R - D or N - D?

an auto has significantly less motor movement between shifts

but as i said theres a remote chance it could be the cable, too.

easy. you loosen the nuts and make the cable sit closer or further from the throttle. test, move again. it'll get better or worse.

Im not saying yours is exactly the same case, but i only felt the jerk on 1st gear or reverse. not on the other gears were smooth because the car is already running smooth. 1st gear has the strongest tug.

what stephen is saying about automatics is true, auto is less significant when it comes to vibration, jerk, its much smoother. So if you do feel it on an automatic, its pretty bad. But check both since thats what weve experienced.

Use lube when you jerk a tranny. Wait no, wrong subject.

Sounds like bad motor mounts or loose motor mounts. Check them all, probably need to replace them all.
