Most likely the signal wire is grounding out...Does it go off at high RPMs?

No its always on. But I drove it and after like 15 miles the engine bogged down a little (like 200 rpms) then leveled out it did that like 3 times then stopped but I went up to stop from 55 mph and it killed the engine once. Then no problems after that but still has light on.

I don't believe so but now my engine is tapping. I'm seriously pissed at this car..its full of oil and the pump is working. Is the bearings gone on my main? Ugh I'm just tired of this car messing up. Do the swivel ends go on the bypass adapter or filter adapter.

theres a reason that light usually comes on.

you have low oil pressure

if the only change was a oil system mod, id shut the car off immediately and fix the issue, or revert to stock..

but sounds like youre too late

how about you get a gauge and see what your oil pressure actually is rather than guessing.

If you don't like rebuilding engines, dont get a mk3 supra.../story hahaha.

I doubt your engine is dead, if you had low oil pressure youd get rod knock, which is obvious.

yep you probably got the lines backwards so no oil pressure is going in the system. or you might have a blockage. but if its tapping then you more than likely spun a bearing.

Go check your lines, fix w.e. is screwed up. Then put in some heavier oil and prey. No it wont fix your issue but it MAY allow you to drive the engine a while(or sell it, lolol jk). Sorry for the rotten luck man! And just out of curiosity why would you putting an oil filter relocation kit on a 7afe?

And touche stephen tongue.gif

Well, your probably right on the spun bearing.
@Supra kid i was putting the kit on so i can do my down pipe for turbo. what luck that it had to happen day before turbo was going on frown.gif.
There is no noise from underneath on the bottom of the block.
Talked to a guy that messed with my dads car and said the head is gone, so I'll be picking up a junkyard engine and rebuild the 7afe for my good turbo build >:) Ill probably be starting a build thread on the engine.
Wish me the best of luck

MANY toyotas have valvetrain noise, normal IMO

if it gets louder with rpms its in the bottom end.

but even a minute of running(not @ idle) w/o oil pressure would make me nervous to turbo, or even to drive it much at all w/o a rebuild

But just to make you feel better, we have a customer who drove about 15-20 miles with the oil light on on their 1MZ-FE Sienna. They parked at home, drove it about 5 miles to us for an oil change. I drained out some smoke and about 2 ounces of oil.

New filter, filled it up, they're still driving it. It's been months.
