my projected cost through 6 stages for my car (i know its not a celica but just for comparison) is $13,210.16. factor in the 1-2k that i know i will be going over budget on and i probably will be in the 15000 range. right now im over budget by $2.75, not too bad so far.

$1,000 for rims. Might lower it, and tint the windows. Thats about it. if I had more money, I'd probably buy that gt-4 truejigga had for sale instead of spending it on my car. Although I don't have the money. Cause I'm a frikkin college kid. and all my money goes towards pizza.

I can show you the reciepts for all of it smile.gif I basically buy access stuff and then use what I need and then sell off extra.. hell I got 4 transmissions sittin around and I aint gonna use a damn one of em - thats over a grand there, not to metion im almost at 10k on my motor alone - it all adds up quick and where I work I get paid everyday so its not hard to get done at work, get on the computer and buy something then go put the money in the bank on the way home - works out good for me.

as for the supra.. yeah your right I shoulda but there was no way they woulda approved me at the time frown.gif

I got her just recently (a few months ago), so there's not too much here.. but y'know..

$7,700 for the car, title, license.. etc.
$700 in maintenance (got a 60k tuneup + some)
..gas..

My plans have 5 tiers:
-Stereo and Interior
-Body and Paint
-Wheels
-Performance
-Final Touches

The stereo is going through right now, head unit, front/rear spkrs, an amp.. + installation, around $1,200. Other interior parts include a PS2, lcd, etc.. running another few hundred.

Body and Paint include a full Invader kit, full body repaint (navy blue =D), professionally installed and painted. Guesstimating $3k.

Wheels. This includes a set of 4 15" winter tires and rims, and a set of 4 16" performance-oriented tires and rims (chrome probably). Guesstimating somewhere in the neighborhood of $2k.

Performance. The cheapest part, I'm only going for an I/E setup, I like a show car over a fast car.. just my opinion. So that's around $700. (GReddy SP2 =D)

Final Touches. This is just stuff that I'll do if I feel like it after doing everything else.. like.. if I really think I should put more into her after all this. Includes JDM Tails, Z-Rated tires, neons, other random unnecessary stuff. No real price, its a long list.

Thing is though, this is taking place over the next two years, so it balances out nicely. $6-7k over two years isn't bad IMO. I'll probably run into some unforeseen engine problem or get in an accident or something and this will all be messed up, but you understand heh.

body and paint is probably going to run you around 4k in all honesty, if you are going to do a full repaint without a nice discount.

I'd say put as much time, effort, and money into it as you can afford to without interfering w/ more important stuff. right now im pouring the majority of my cash into my celi. everything but my $ for tuition and food is going to car payments insurance gas and mods. so far:
rims +tires $650
Interior paint $35
Neon lights-$60
system $1000+
pedals $20
intake $110
clear corners- $10 for the 2 sheets of plexiglass and the cutter
damage from wreck fixed $350
carbon fiber stuff $? i forgot but not cheap
paint and loom for engine $50+
muffler $150
- the list goes on and on and i dont even have that much done yet some of these guys have easily thousands more into theirs. i say mod till ya cant take it anymore .. .and then mod a little more just to be on the safe side. biggrin.gif

I guess mine is up to about $3500 so far. I pay for most of it out of my personal business though. As of now, after rims, I am $590 under budget. That's about to go down drastically though, I got two or three people at my work that want racing seats;)
