best 194's Options

well i need the best 194's for my gauges at least i want a blue one
doesn't matter if it's led or not
anybody got a suggestions ?

I have thought about doing that a lot lately. I would guess to get whatever color that would look right to you. Is your car silver? If it is blue would be pretty nice. Mine is this sea green color and I am kinda stuck on a color to use.

I used white, which turned the guages kind of a light orange...then I used blue, but that turned the guages teal, which isn't much different from a stock color on any car. I'm gonna order some PIAA hyperwhites...expensive, but probably worth it.

If you go with led get the push in style leds (the top is flat, instead of being rounded) that way it emits light in all directions not just the top. with regular domed leds the light is sent directly to the needles making them wicked bright but the numbers around everything arent so bright. im ordering mine from these guys. I personally had problems with all of the leds that I've had in my gauge cluster. They would disperse the light unevenly and some parts would be very bright, while other parts were very dim. I prefer regular 194 bulbs in my gauge cluster, because they disperse the light much more evenly.

They're little light bulbs that are used for your side markers, gauge cluster, and some other places. Sometimes they're also referred to as 168 bulbs. Here's a photo of one of these bulbs:

I actually used some Polarg hyperwhite bulbs, and I liked them for a while. Right now I've got some indiglos, but here's a pic of how my cluster used to look:

I've seen two...a white GT at the applebees on my side of town...and like, metallic blue GT at the mall. Other than that, I'm the only red ST owner in town. It makes me feel unique enough.

well does anybody know which is better regular 194's or LED ?

My opinion is that regular 194s are better for your gauge cluster, because the light is dispersed more evenly than with LEDs.

I tried both and i agree with coomer, I like the 194 better there is a pic in my profile its not agreat pic but you can see the color change
