right, after looking at another car forum (not a celica) I felt that our info or sticky threads were not uptodate or messy. What we have is great (dont get me wrong) but it can be better. also it might cut down on repetitive threads and questions, it'll allow you to quicky find info you need without waiting for people to answer your question.
examples 6G Celicas Forums > 6th Generation Celica > Engine/Transmission/Maintenance Transmissions 7A-FE -tech info -maintance -performance (intake and exhaust etc + link to FI thread for 7A-FE+T) 5S-FE -tech info -maintance -performance 3S-GE 3SGE BEAMS etc... Feasible and Non-Feasible Engine Swaps auto to manual le-loom useful links etc... ... ... just an idea though. what do you all think? -------------------- |

ya i think thats a great Idea Rusty. there just about 50 threads on cold air intake. upp nothing else stands out as far as too many repetitave threads goes.
Also whenever you try to search for something you can never get your exact answer, even when you type the topic of the thread word for word in the search bar. lets wait and see wat the mods say... -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts

well the more involvement from people across the board (eg people who know alot about the 7A) the faster and easier it wil be for people. (we'll have less/no more CAI for my celica thread)
some of it may have to be done by mods (rewritting the stickied sticky thread) I'll do more sticky examples if people want? This post has been edited by Rusty: Aug 20, 2009 - 7:01 PM -------------------- |

I do agree that this would help a lot and is much needed, i think there was a thread about it a few months ago?! There are quite a few dead links and it could use a little organizing along with some stickying of awesome posts that never got stickied.
I do understand that the Mods are the only ones who can do this though and they do have a life, lol ... its not that big of a deal though. IMO it would be much cleaner and easily accessible for noobs and everybody if all the stickyied things were linked to by the how-to section on the 6gc home page, but i think only Coomer can do that. -------------------- ◊◊◊ My F/S Thread! ◊◊◊

There was so much JDM trapped inside that box that they couldn't contain it, so they had to put a JDM hole in the box to let the JDM out. you know, if one of you guys wanted to step up, and help out the site, you could actually create the stickys in the format you suggested, (they just wouldnt be a "sticky" till a mod sticks it) and just link me or one of the other mods to it, and we could kill the old sticky, and put yours up.
chris had been working on a way for the mods to reward members who do exactly this type of stuff, by giving you more pics in your profile. what the status of that is, im not sure, but i would appreciate the work if you guys want to take it on. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

Id be down to help out, repay my debt so to say ..My question is,do we have to preform the sticky?Say the gt-4 front end swap, can we take all the pictures and info off azains thread and use them(with his permission of course)?
Another idea i had that i think would improve the site is to add a build forum,i know right now is not the best time but what does everyone think of a sub-forum off of the FI sections JUST for build threads? This post has been edited by CelicaST_CALI: Aug 23, 2009 - 11:53 AM -------------------- BANNED. for life, you moron.

No, I'd want you guys to use the same format it's in now, with the links. Just in a better order. Christian also set up a file hosting setup for us to use to store important info, like the bgb's and stuff Which we will be implementing here soon as time allows. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

hmm more pics in my profile sounds good to me!
ok so any of the current stickies that are up right now, you pretty much want us to organize them, by puting the information in one post. Well so far only celica st_cali and rusty are the only ones who have been responding to this thread. Hey presure 2, how about if rusty or celicast cali sends you a sticky of the same topic that i sent you. for example like lets say two of us send you a sticky of sway bars.. will you choose the sticky that is best organized and set up?? I think we're looking or a new 'stickies' topic, that has all the stickies linked in it, but organised better... Like how Rusty has it at the top.....
Then we can sticky the new topic and delete the old ones..... -------------------- |

How about if people start replying to the sticky that we posted, members replies wont be deleted right? well whatever im talking before i even started organizing the threads/stickies... the topics contained within the stickys remain open, active topics. the sticky itself gets locked, to keep the stickys clear of clutter. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)
