I just bought a Gt4 and the syncro of the 3rd and 4th gear need replacing. I don't know much about this tranny yet, what woud be the best solution:
-Replace the whole tranny?
-Change the syncros?

I won't be doing it myself, so what do you think will come in the cheapest in the end?
Thanks!

Yeah I checked it out, though it's quite far so the shipping would be quite expensive. But I don't know how long it can take to change syncros on this tranny. Cause if it takes forever, it could be cheaper to change the whole tranny instead.

A buddy of mine just shipped a tranny from like caifornia to canada, and I think it was only like 200 bucks.
It was for a tacoma, so it probably weighed a significant amount more than the tranny you need.

200 isn't that bad! I'll try to know how long it takes to change syncros on this tranny beforehand. If anyone has done it or knows about how long it can take, tell me ^^

Yea don't quote me on that though.
Look into both before you make a decision.

its the labor pulling the engine thats going to kill you. you have to pull the entire assembly to get the tranny off. good luck!
