^ One of my favorite pictures of your car Jon.. Im planning on making a custom emblem like that sooner or later.
To the op, I like the clean look but I think something needs to be.back there.. like just the Toyota "T"

*Insert full whinny post about trying earlier today*

So, i did try this morning and it left alot of double sided tape and sticky stuff on the car.
I tried to remove as much as i could, and could still feel/see an outline.

Turns out i just didn't have the guts to continue and took the safe option of putting it back on.

Now, after trying again, i have success. Completely gone, almost. Another polish and it'll be sweet smile.gif

what i did is removed the toyota and gt badges and left the celica but moved it over to the right side just like the beams celica SSIII. i left the main "T" there too with the celica on the right.

your car would be the SEX if you did it. biggrin.gif

I've got shadow emblems on mine so i won't be taking it off but so F*****N pissed cuz the top of my "C" broke mad.gif mad.gif !!!!

Use Meguires rubbing compound, a clay bar, and then finally some wax. It'll come off. I got all my shadows off when I re-did my emblems.

He doesn't mean shadows like oxidized paint - he means the shadow emblems... Like these on my old 96 Limited.

And you would use the clay first, then rubbing compound... just sayin...

What did you use to take the emblems off? Dental floss?

Use a hair dryer to heat up the emblem (the adhesive) and then floss.

30 minutes tops.

Heat it up, floss. Heat it up some more, floss some more. Repeat until the emblem falls off. Then heat up the remaining adhesive and try to rub off what you can. What little is left over - use a clay kit to run over the area until the surface is clean, then polish to remove oxidation. Lastly, wax it and seal it. Stand back and look at the wonder you have created.
