I got it! Decide now to not work on the car, but leave your plans open so then it'll not snow and then you can be like "LOLZ it's nice might as well work on teh car now."

Awwww oh well, can't fool Mother Nature.

Just get some of that foam in a can to seal the gaps in the wood of the barn and convert it into a quasi garage.

still no spark. cranks all day long but nothing. no green beans for the midwest meet. frown.gif

went over it this weekend. I checked:

- EA1 Plug and wires are correct
- ECU grounded and has power. CEL on
- Tested 3 MAFs
- looked over grounds and fuses (all looked fine)
*EFI fuse
*IGN fuse
*ECU A & B fuse
*AM1 AM 2
- crank and cam sensors
- COR
- Engine grounds

not sure what else it could be other than a short in the wiring somewhere.

Check that you are getting spark at the ignitor. I assume you're getting fuel already.

Where are you staying for the meet? By me?

Factory security maybe?

Not sure. I'll dig up the wiring diagram for it and see if it could be an issue.

BEAMS doesn't have ignitor does it?
I was getting fuel because it was leaking everywhere but I'm not sure it's spraying out the injectors, will have to check that. (I did read on the mr2 forum where a BEAMS swap had the same issues and ended up being old clogged injectors)

for the meet, yes, I'm close by, about 17 mins on Algonquin Rd somewhere. Excited to see you all, wish I could bring some green beams for you all to enjoy but you'll just have to settle for the trix again. Mai See refuses to ride in the 1st gen unless I can make it more comfortable. lol

Ah, sorry. I got the hotel for the night of, not the night before because we get off work at 5ish, then have to go home and pack and by the time we leave and get there it'll be way late. No use in paying for an extra night of hotel just to sleep and not do anything. so I'll be coming down the day of and then staying at the hotel that night.

yeah, BEAMS is COP, I'll have to check them and see if they're the culprit.

Could be the ECU itself, if it's not the coils or injectors see if someone nearby with a known working ECU will stop by and pop it in to see if that's it. Being you've checked everything else short of having continuity throughout the harness. Ahh the joy of old cars and old parts.

ECU is a redtop one from Richee3 and was working up to when he pull it and sent it to me. Also, swapped it with my greytop ECU and still does the same thing too. I can see my greytop ECU being bad from seller but the redtop was in his car and working perfectly fine.

Alrighty, just trying to rule things out so that's good to know it's good. Hopefully it's something easy, just a matter of finding it.

Tr00f. ECU is confirmed in good working order as I ran it myself for a while before sending it to Chee La. Lemme know about the harness, I can ship it out to you any time. I wanna see this thing started more than you do at this point.
