why?

on a mostly stock motor, theres no reason for valves.

but yu CAN port the head. polish combustion chambers, exhaust runners, etc.

i think i remember reading somewhere that Supra 2JZ valves have the same length stem, they are basically the same as an oversized 5S-FE valve.

ok i found the thread i think i was thinking of. its on MR2oc.com the author actually is recommending 2JZ-GTE valve springs for the webcam 294 cams.

Im about the pull the engine out of my Supra, the head is being done so i can measure the valves and let you know. i dont have any 5S-FE valves to compare to but if you have your head apart, measure the over all length, and diameter of the valve face and who knows?

link?
i've never seen aftermarket springs recommended for the webcams 294's...webcams dont recommend them for those cams.
besides, before you get to O/S valves on a 5s head, there are lots of other things you can do to make lots of power before going for the small gains the larger valves will get you.

i mean ya, if its already apart, and you have the extra cash, it may be somthing to think about..if your looking to make BIG power with a 5s head..but that wouldnt even be a thought in my mind without thinking about lots of other things like manifolds, turbos, engine control, LOTS of headwork..ect...lol
if your looking to make n/a power (lol), google mrturrari, or research his posts on celicatech and mr2oc.

to get the valves out is really simple. set the head down on a flat surface. I use a 14MM deep socket with a 1/2 to 3/8 reducer and a 1/2 drive 3" extension. i tape them all together so its nice and solid. then smack the retainer with a mallet. the keepers will pop right out. assembly is another story. i made a special tool to compress the spring and i use a small pic to drop the keepers in.
