I've posted on this before but it turns out the suggested issue wasn't right. So for about the last 4 months my car's back passenger side break has been clicking/knocking whenever I press down to a certain point on the brake pedal. People on the forum suggested it might be loose bolts on my calipers, but I checked them myself and they were fine and then had my mechanic check them as well when I got a tune up last month and he said everything seemed fine. So I'm totally stumped. Could my caliper just be bad?
Another thing I noticed was that even when I'm not braking, if I go really slowly the same clicking/knocking noise appears, and that recently my brake pedal vibrates when I'm braking at high speeds. Could any of this be connected? I'm trying to get this sorted out before I decide if I should get a newer car or not at the end of the summer so any help would be greatly appreciated |

bushings, endlinks make noise on bumps.

I had a clicking caliper and i just put the anti-noise stuff between all the clips, greased up the slider pins with correct grease etc and made sure nothing was moving that shouldn't be and it stopped and hasn't come back, the brake pedal vibrating would be a warped disc which would most likely be the front as it does most of the braking, you can take the disc to a shop and get them to machine it for you for around $50.
The noise that appears when youre not braking is that a similar noise? Just take the rear caliper apart and see if the pad is moving at all and put the anti-noise stuff on the clips, check the slider pins haven't had it aswell and are smooth then grease! Something people rarely check -- the e-brake hardware. Most specifically, the pins and springs which hold the e-brake shoes against the backing plate. Lose tension on one of those and the shoe will bounce against the backing plate.

try to grease the two calipers slider pins with silicon grease and check if the brake pads are loose.
