sc'ing your 1mz puts you in the 2gr ballpark.
Smaay couldn't do a 2gr. No way to get around AT codes with the 2gr. He's in California, so it wouldn't get past inspection with codes. |

Kurt, a 2GR will require a ton of work and it will be expensive. if you are looking to upgrade, just get a 3MZ and run it with the 1MZ electronics like I did. you will NOT be disappointed. a 2GR will require wiring, and the engine (2400 +) 3MZ engines i see all day long on car-part for about 700 bucks
