Honestly, it doesn't make that much difference having the filter there or having it in the bay. You're more likely to suck in rain and birds than anything.

Well. I have oil pressure!!!!
Hopefully it stays that way Now to fix a small coolant leak an get the tires back on But as of right now she holds a constant 23psi at idle an a constant temp of 180-185 Tge oil psi goes from 23-24 at idle to just shy of 70psi at 5700rpm -------------------- 95 gt coupe, v6 swap weekend toy

Just make a hood scoop! Hopefully cleaning everything will take care of the oil psi problem. How are you envisioning this? I'm thinking 80s style, a rectangle cut in the hood, then a scoop in similar formation with a pipe end running to the throttle body. Trim it on the outside with a bit of black. The headlight will yeild much more power than a hood scoop. The two high pressure areas are the front bumper and windshield while the hood is a lowpressure area. There may be a couple PSI of pressure built up in front of the bumper at high speeds which is like free horsepower |
