If you are in the LA area, there's going to be a photoshoot this weekend for the new upcoming 2004 Celica brochure. Details are in this thread:
http://celica.net/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?u...t=004820#000006 My friend said that he already has enough 7th gens. I think he needs a couple more 6th gens, and 5 4th and 5th gens. If you know anyway, please let me know ASAP. You will be nicely compensated for this. This shoot is going to take place this coming Sunday and Monday and you will need to leave you car there. Again, you will get nicely compensated. Please send mod list, vehicle specs, and pictures to my friend: ckwan@saatchila.com. You can also call him at 310-214-6262. I may be in this shoot, so long as the producers will allow it. I already contacted the bodyshop to inform them about this and they said that my car will be ready ON SATURDAY. However, the problem is that the producers would like to see my car IN PERSON before the take the car in. My friend said that they would need to see the car by Friday. Now since my car won't be done, smogged, and registered till Saturday, I may not make the shoot. He's gonna try to get me in though. Ok i read about this on celica.net it sounds really good, but I am just a little confused. On celica.net it says that the shoot is on Sat-Sun then Ray you're posting here thats its Sun-Mon?? Which is it?? Cuz I'm going thru the same thing as you are. My car just might be done by this Friday or Saturday. I need to double check with my shop. Second thing is, well both of you say that we will be NICELY COMPENSATED! NOT to sound like a prick or anything, but I've heard that before and all you get is free food.  Thats good too. But i don't think these producers will hook us up with that much money, IF money is involved. Last we HAVE to leave our cars there? (HOPE THIS DOESNT HAPPEN TO ANYONE) But what if we get our cars back w/ scratches or dings?? Will they pay for that?? I'm just asking because it looks like most of us have put a lot of time and MONEY into our cars especially you Ray. So i dont think you would want all of that to go to waste in two days. Well i just had to get these questions out of my head before i go to work, b/c i really DO want my car in the shoot. Any info would be appreciated. Thanx David |

Bro, They told me i am in. and when they say "YOU WILL BE NICELY COMPENSATED" they mean it. I dont want to give out 2 much info but, it will be about 10 hours, lots of food and YOU WILL BE NICELY COMPENSATED

Well, it looks like I'm out. The last body shop that my car was at (about 5 years ago) never fixed my frame damage, which is causing my current body shop to have some problems installing my front bumper. Unfortunately, my car won't be done on time. =(
As for the date, Calvin told me that it's going to be held on Sunday and Monday. And as for the compensation, like Goku said, you will definitely be nicely compensated. You know I wouldn't let you guys down... so trust me. This is part of the reason why I've been upset and depressed all day today. I really REALLY wanted to do this! I seriously wish I hate a shotgun right now so that I can blow out the owner's brains of the last shop my car was at.

Sorry to say this but same here. My shop was almost going to have my car ready by saturday but NO LUCK there were to many mods to the front and rear that slowed them down. The worst part is that there probably won't be another chance like this for me in a long time or EVER. I was there yeaterday it took about 11:00 hours. Got $500. Took some pictures but
i was not alloud to take pictures of the new 04 Celica. have to say it look's nice. i will put up the pictures soon. |

I am so jealous. I wish I got to be in that. I thought that only really tricked out celica's would make it, so i didn't even bother. AHHHHH!!!! $500!!!! and coulda had my picture in toyota ads. Dah. I'm gunna shoot myself now. Next time, I am so there.
