i was wondering if 8" wide rims would fit on our cars and not have any clearance problems. I want to get some 18x8 rims and want to know if they will cause a problem.

I know that ka2 has 17x8" rims on his car, and they're what he uses for circuit racing, so he doesn't rub with them.

What is the offset on the rims that you want to get?

to the people with 18's, i'm worried that with the already stiff supension and 215/35 tires i will feel every bump rattle my car to oblivion.
and with that big a wheel does it slow the car down enough that it is noticable.

I guess as slow as my car is, I would be able notice a difference if I had 18's. But I also hear a lot of people recommend that if we're gonna be racing, stick to 16's or 17's.

Yes, it does slow it down, you would want to stick with the smallist stock size to race, then for show, just through on the nice one's....
