Yeah.

I was looking for some custom engine parts, like to make the 5sfe, to those of who own a celi with that engine, go better, run smoother, and have the ability to take more horespower. I got tha ansa!

February/March of 2003, Import Performance Parts, a division of Flatlander Racing, is coming out with a Stroker kit for our engines! The kit will include the following:
- Forged Crank (w/Knife-Edging option)
- Custom Forged Pistons (any compression and bore)
- Forged Steel Pins (ultra-lites available)
- Piston Pin Locks
- Plasma Moly Racing Rings
- Forged 4340 Steel or Billet Rods
- Main and Rod Bearings
Which basically means more horsepower, torque, and a better ability to handle even more horsepower if you decide to run Nitrous or Turbo or whatever you want. I will email them and tell them I want to know prices. You guys can all check out their website...

Myfriend told me about that, and I think he said it was between 1500 and 2k. I got so jacked about it, it just makes it more confusing to do that and slap a turbo in after or just get the 3S swap. JESUS!

chances are your compression will still be to high to take a lot of power. right now the 5S-FE is 11:1 and the 3s-gte is 8.5:1 Cars with stock turbos have a tremendous potential for huge power gains. And that 2K price does not include labor putting it in. Which most likely means that your engine will have to be taken out cuz the crankshaft is usually on the bottom. And it will be nearly impossible to get to from the bottom of the car.

igotta5S-FEturbo!

The 5S compression of 11:1 sounds wrong. It should more be in the range of 9.5:1

While I was editing, you got in a post.

I forgot that it is some what lame. 10 would be nice, but you might have some detonation problems.

oops i guess that we are both wrong. 9.5:1

that kit will kick the compression to 10.5:1 which will not be a good platform for a turbo, so if you want that, go 3sgte... if you want a kickass 5sfe with a lot of torque, you can use this kit.

it would be good depending on how much boost the kit is design for.

Maybe the kit will be doing 6-10psi.

I know that the 4AGE 20v Silver top with 11:1 or something like that can hold onto 8psi fairly good. Even up to 10.

Well as you stated, it is best going with the 3SGTE swap.

There are alot of rewards in that choice.

Jun makes a stroker kit for the 3sgte... but its like 3.5k for the damn thing... that would be my route over a stroker kit for the 5sfe

i believe that the kit is made for NA, not boost. i didn't see anything about turboing the stroker kits on the site.

Well, even the 3sgte can't handle too much. If you want to go over the 350hp mark, it's highly recomended to get JE Forged Pistons and Pauter Rods. I added these parts yesterday to the parts database and hopefully Coomer cna have them up soon.

AND BTW...

I was just trying to add something else to the puzzle and choices that us Celica owners have. Maybe the 3SGTE is better idea for SOME people, but people who don't want to hassle with swapping and want to keep their 5SFE engine....I'm offering another option for those people.

it says you can have your choice of compression ratio, so get the kit at a nice 8.5:1 to 9:1 head compression and get the burien turbo kit installed at the same time and you got some nice engine mods set with a nice level of boost.

So what will this kit give a 5fse? More horsepower and torque? How much hp and torque? Is it worth doing if you dont plan on turbo and nitrous? What if i just want one kick ass powerful 5fse engine thats all power with out turbo?

And where are you guys getting $2K from on the site for the major kit is says and i quote: "contains complete gasket set, set of pistons and rings, main bearings, rod bearings, thrust washers, timing belt, balance shaft bearings (if applicable), and a set of expansion plugs (does not contain camshaft, timing kit or oil pump). Pistons & Rings: Std., .020, .040. Bearings: Std., 10, 20, 30." EKTO25M $279.00
