And if this isn't enough, I even threw the front plate in there.

I had to do the plate thing as a joke. Call me a liar, and if I get fired up enough, I can prove you wrong 9 ways to Sunday.

Besides, the people who have seen the car know those plugs and pliers haven't moved in weeks haha.

Technically, you see LESS cylinders hahaha. wink.gif

Bucket list of parts left:

--slave cylinder
--driver axle
--harness

Exhaust will be done this week hopefully, then the intake will come off for the last time, and will stay off until the harness is done. Once I have a harness, I can get her through emissions, renew the plates, and DRIVE.

I have $500 towards the harness, but may have more if I can get my other car mobile and can sell the Saab.

Nope, I have X-ray vision and can see through the intake manifold.

That XRay vision can come in handy. We can take over the world with it.

In all seriousness though, there is actually MORE room in the back than a Camry. Tuneups are a breeze, no intake removal required.

You would think, but nope. Keep in mind, in order to clear the Celica hood, they lean the 5S back like Fat Joe. That works out well for the Camry V6.

Removing the intake is mainly for if you have to go way in there.

Just want to give a shoutout to everyone that's helped out thus far.

Kurt for countless tidbits of advice and just being a good guy.

Jeff (Smaay) for that 1MZ conversion mount. I think that should be on everyone's shopping list if they do the swap.

Manny (presure2) for the ST205 clutch setup. Because of that, I was able to get my flywheel machined correctly and on the car. Also, for not being afraid to speak his mind. I respect that.

Dustin (Batman722) for that ST throttle cable and giving me hell for talking junk. Enjoy those foglight brackets!

Stef (hurley97) for being cool as hell.

Mike (mkernz22) for being lenient with my pickup of the bumpers.

Liz for the world's best shifter boot.

Uncle Si for being a pisser and the use of his garage, tools, whompers, and trucks.

My best friend Felicia for killing the 5S and jumpstarting this project. Love you boo! Also, this is your fault haha. wink.gif

Lastly, the king of chaches, Robbie Repko, for selling me this car two years ago for $500. You DEFINITELY didn't expect the car to last this long at all. Also, thanks for the Saab too!

And to everyone else, thank you too.

Starting over a new leaf, and this is EXACTLY where project roadtripper stands:

I'm on all 4 mounts. Also, the exhaust is about 60% done, as in, it's out of the bay. I still need to install a driver's axle, but I ordered one today. $55, not too bad at all.

My next step is bleeding the clutch system out with a new slave cylinder. At that point, once the driver's axle is in, I'm 99% done with the mechanical work. I would like some new brakes and rotors, but that can wait.

I didn't get my harness as promised today, and it's looking more and more like I'm either going to A: send my backup harnesses to Tweak, B: just get a whole new harness made up or C: pray to whomever I worship that I somehow miraculously learn how to read a wiring diagram and do it myself. I'm leaning towards option B.

I'm just beside myself with the whole harness thing, and I'm really just nervous it'll never run. Spending $700-$1000 on wiring is a killer right now, and while I could just float it all, I don't want to. If ANYONE can make sense of the diagrams, PLEASE, I am BEGGING of you, I need help. I can do the work, but I can't read the diagrams.

No progress today.

We had a '73 Triumph come in, and it looks like I'll be doing a clutch on it. It's ok though, because it's just more money for the project.

I'm going to try to make some sense of the diagrams this weekend, if I can't, I'll have to order a harness. Funny, because I can wire up an old British car, but can't wire a swap.Wiring up a British car is as follows: one GIANT ground in which 17million little wires come off it, then a couple sensor leads here and there haha. Why can't a 1MZ be this simple?

Meh, try posting the diagrams and I'll give it a go. I still like wiring a pre-computer domestic car, only a few wires critical to the car running. tongue.gif

I had a trade offer the car today. I'm going to take it depending on how good the tickets are. I have always wanted to see my Red Sox in the World Series, and the opportunity to see them twice is something I really cannot refuse.
