Anyone know where I could find a bra or leather hood guard for a 6gc? I saw a pic of one, but I have no idea where the guy got it.

Protects hood/bumper area (depending on what type and size) from dings and wear and tear. I wanted one just for the hood like that shot, but I think it'd be ugly on black.

one note about the bra thingys...if you dont take them off when it rains...and let it dry out...you can cloud your paint, not to mention all the dirt and grime that gets behind it over time..just somthing to think about..

I think it might look ok on black... seeing as how my car is black. In any case it should look better than that ugly piece of faded weather stripping that's in there. My question is where can I find them and how much do they cost? Are they specially designed to fit certain cars? I know NEVERSTOP offered his, but he didn't say where he got it or what's a reasonable offer for it.

Actually... do you think anyone could photochop it in so I could see what it would look like? That would be cool.

I had a factory Toyota bra on my first Celica, it looked good in my opinion, plus it was easier to wash bugs off it than trying to get them off the front bumper.I never had any problems with the paint clouding or scratching, but I kept my car waxed regularly.I even took off the bra and sprayed it off at a pressure car wash about every 6 months just to keep dirt from embedding into it and causing problems.

I had a link for another factory bra to put on my new car, I'll see if I can find it for you if your interested.

My bra looked just about exactly the same as your's gas, only it had the hood bra too like in the first photo pictured, so that the bra was even with the side fender bra. Also mine didnt have the toyota symbol. I'll get home sat. and let you guys know what brand it is.

Here's another site.

CarBras.com

This site actually has some good info about paint hazing with bras under the FAQ section.

Their custom colored bras look real good, but damn what a price.

Perfect Fit car bra will custom build a colored car bra for you from your paint color code that you provide for us or we get from the manufacture for you (Honda green, Volkswagen red, GM silver and more).

You can find them on ebay every now and them. basically they keep the bugs off your bumper, cauz as we all know love bugs chip away paint with there nasty little a$$ acids. i think it makes a car look less sporty. altho that toyota one doesnt look bad.
