i just ordered some kyb gr2/excel g and i was wondering how good they are. i probably shouldve done this before ordering them. will they lower my car anymore than the stock ones? my cars lowered on trd springs at the moment and i want it about another inch lower.

i have installed them in my dads Solara and in several 7th gens. no complaints. pretty much a stock replacement

what about the ride height compared to stock ones. ive read on many different forums that people said its lower than stock shocks by about an inch

Struts do very little to control ride height. Springs do that. As Smaay said, GR2's are pretty much stock replacements with a better warranty so I would expect no change whatsoever.
