hey all, how you guys doing? Well, since my wife started using my car to go to work, i need a new dd. By what i've seen in my area, i've narrowed it down to two cars. One is a white 93 gts celica with a very clean yexterior and interior. The other is a beautiful sc400(yes my choices have to be toyota's:) im safe by choice not by chance) so which do you guys think i should choose?

I've always wanted an SC so I'd pick that.
However for DD 4 cylinders sounds ideal.
Tough choice.

Well, as long as you don't mind the bad gas mileage on premium fuel go for the SC400.

Combo breaker!

I say go for the Celica. Cheaper on gas, insurance, enough fun to get from A to B. It's a better DD on a budget.

Wait, I just remembered the SC400 was automatic only. Screw that, find an All-Trac Celica. tongue.gif

Wait what? Premium burns slower due to higher octane... therefore better mileage. It gets bad gas mileage because of it's big engine lol

...never mind. I read that again because I read it wrong the first time. It looked like you meant, "well, as long as you don't mind the bad gas mileage on premium fuel, go for the SC400." Not, "well, as long as you don't mind the bad gas mileage, on premium fuel, go for the SC400."

Thanks everyone for the responses! If i could find an all trac i'd buy it, but here in puerto rico....i've never seen an all trac here, just one st165 all trac...three years ago. Insurance isn't a problem here, it's paid once a year here. The celi pays $189 and it's insured for a year tongue.gif. Im still dabbling in what i should choose, im not really picky but it has to be a toyota Brand.

And given the girth of the Mk IV Supras, that's quite a statement.

I wouldn't mind a SC300, considering they're much cheaper than their Supra twins. Still they're 300 pounds heavier and just a bigger vehicle in general. Unless I were building something for racing I'd be more than happy with a SC300 though.
