Anyone got one. Thinking of buying I hate my front plate. Its actually not even on the car. This way I can have the best of both worlds.

The one you posted to ebay is mechanical.....The one linked is electric... It would be retarded to have a mechanical one as youd have to get out to put it on....And the only time youd want it on is for cops....

not worth it at all..... It is for me. I have a psycho parking lady that has been hitting my car parked at my appartment with two tickets a week for the last three months. Everything from parking more than 10 inches from the curb, blocking a loading zone invalid registration (bs) and her favorite no front plate. Some I have appealed and others i have paid. I have paid over $500 in parking tickets since new years. Keep in mind I have two cars so she hits the celica as much as possible and my g35 she always hits for no front plate. (gauranteed at least two a week whichever car is home gets a ticket.) Even when the plate is is in the window. So for me totally worth it I just ordered two one for each car. (thanks for the link for the good ones suprakid)Funny the police dont give a crap I havent had a front plate in the last 6 years and never had one on the celi not even my old one. As a fail safe I will have it pop out when I arm my alarm unless i overide and want it tucked when parking. This psyhco even went so far as to follow my wife from home and give her a ticket for no front plate when she parked at the girls and boys club. ( drop off/ in and out 5 minutes) The funny part when I was looking at the (photo evidense online on the citys site) The parking lady uploaded old pictures of my car parked at my house. It was a dead give away because when I looked at the police photos the same day i got the ticket. I immediatly noticed my car did not have the black housing lights installed which I had put on about two weeks prior. She is uploading pictures of old infractions and giving me new tickets. At any rate this plate is well worth it for me. I refuse to have a front plate looks so good without one ![]() I must have pissed this lady off proabably almost ran her of the road before. not road legal in the UK.
If you dont have a visable plate they cant give you a ticket. You just get towed away. Gotta have a plate when driving on the road too or you'll get a fine and a few points on your licence. Only time you can't show a plate here is if it's on private roads on off road say like a show. so in a nutshell, if you live in the UK. It's not worth it. However I dont know if it's the same in the states. |

I'd start writing the date on your windows, take a date stamped picture of your car with the date every single day, and go after her for harassment. Not getting two tickets a week is worth it.

However I dont know if it's the same in the states. Totally depends where you live over here. I live in a high crime area so the police have much better stuff to do than to pull people over for tints and front plates. In more rural areas they have nothiong better to do than bust people for front plates and tints and that BS. Every once in a while when things get really out of hand they will start cracking down. I remember the racing scene when I was younger they actually had a street racing task force "cops in modified mustangs and even civics" Car laws are not to consistant or inforced accross the board in Mass. This does not apply to friday, saturday and sunday nights; we have a huge racing scene and if your in the pak and actuially stop they will nail you. |
