did you try asking this question on an MR2 forum?

there are not many 2nd gen 3S-GTE swaps. most of them are 3rd gen 3S-GTEs.

when i had a 91 MR2 Turbo, i pushed about 18psi on an AEM EMS, thats about all the CT26 is good for. after that its just pushing hot air. the stock ECU hits boost cut around 12psi i think. you need a VPC to get around that

I have a asked the other forums but not much luck. I have found that this is the best forum for info and help. Every one on this 6 gen forum has been grate when it has come to my two Celicas. So i figured why not with my mr2 too. Any ways this is what i have going, I bot the mr 2 a year ago. It blow up on the way home. So i haven't drove the car but for 30 mins the whole time I have owned it. so it need a head gasket. tare it down.. I it got the head rebuilt. big boy head gasket. Arp studs, ct20b that just got all rebuilt, new intercooler, hard piping, waste gate, bov, header, motor mounts.. So what now? Is there any thing i should do be for i put her back together. I'm thinking just 10 psi for now till i get the new ecu. can i do that. I got this car cuz i want to put a 3rd gen in my st. wanted to play with the motor be-for i did the swap. So let me know what u all think.

Thanks again...

The cylinder head and turbo are the weak points on a GEN2 3S. The shims on the lifter buckets have a tendency to get spit out if you over boost. The factory rotating assembly is pretty stout. factory HG is composite, so replace with an MLS. CT26...fancy paperweight.
