I've never really felt right trying to tempt fate with my gas light on.. back in high school I went about 4 days with it on but that's only back and forth to school and only a total of about 35 miles or so..
Nowadays I rely on my gas light, since my gauge no longer works properly. I can fill my tank up to the brim and my gauge will only read a little more than half a tank

91 miles, all highway, doing 80+. Still only took 15.2 to fill, I could have gone another 20!.
