My brakes are finally about shot and im thinking of putting disk brakes on the back instead of the drum brakes. what would be the best choice performance wise?

just get the GT rear disc conversion, i guess you can get upgraded rotors, calipers, pads, but all that is unnecessary if you don't plan to use it. In fact, converting is not needed either unless you have a real purpose or want the nicer disc brakes look.
