I'm thinking of getting car, a Corolla XRS 2006, still don't know if I'm keeping the 6GC.

What you guys think about this one, why a 2006 mostly because of the 2ZZ engine VVTL-i used on the 7GC and considering Gas prices here like $5 a gallon this could reduce the expense, I love the 6GC and this is why I'm thinking to Keep it or not.

It will be imported from US, we don't have this version here and beside will be like 3 times it cost in US.

So need Ideas and suggestions.

If I were going for a 2000+ car, I'd get the 03-04 Celica GT-S. That's just me though. Originally got 24/33 mpg with 180 hp, not bad. Also on premium fuel though. Will be the same for the XRS Corolla. According to online, it got 26/34 originally on premium. I'm guessing due to different transmission gearing between it and the Celica. If fuel cost is a main concern the standard Corolla originally was rated at 32/41 on regular. Not sure if you can access this site from Costa Rica, but here's a good site for finding fuel efficiency of various vehicles: http://www.fueleconomy.gov/

I dont know if costa rica is same as el salvador but the rollas are stolen like candy bars on a childs birthday party with lotsa bullies....

The corolla is a,nice, option, but consider the matrix with 6 speed as well

Older Corollas 80's could be stolen, but since we've been swamped with 90's Hyundai's thieves prefer those cars instead other kind.

Matrix is also in the list, I have a friend that owns one and its great, the only down side is there isn't a lot of body parts. Corollas are more accessible.

Corolla XRS should be ideal then. Enough room for the future family, enough get up and go as to not be frustrating, and good enough mpg to not kill you at the pump. Just from browsing around it has a decent aftermarket too.
