Hey 6GC my name is mark aka warapparel. I have been lurking the site for a little over a month now and have gotten a lot of good information on my new to me celica gt. This is my 2nd celica, my first was a 2000 GT-S and my 5th Toyota. I am no stranger to turning a wrench and i am looking forward to working on this car. My other previous vehicles was an FC RX7 and my old baby, a 91 hardtop MR2 NA-T. I personally love the stock body lines of these cars so i dont want to ruin the look with ugly kits. im not really concerned with making her super fast or anything like that, i have my gixxer for that. I just needed a car with better gas mileage than my 06 frontier. After all i cant ride my gixxer everyday.
heres a pic of the day i got her:

The roof and wing were oxidized to all hell. I got it repainted so now its looking better. I have already installed my TRD Quickshifter which i picked up on ebay for $89 and it was brand new never installed. I got lucky with that. I also bought HIDs for the lowbeams from a local 6gc'er here in SD. Right now i am currently looking for a good deal on a 5-channel amp so i can install new speakers and 1 12 inch sub. I also have a kenwood in-dash dvd player ready to be put it, but since it diverts all the power away from the stock speakers i cant listen to my music until i get my amp frown.gif.
I have a set of 3k h1 for my fogs but when i finally installed them they didnt work, so instead of trying to re-do the wiring, i ordered a set of yellow h1 bulbs instead. when they come in i will install it. I am waiting to get a set of KYBs so i can install the new TRD lowering springs that i got off CL (some guy thought they would work with his MR2) for only $80! They havent been installed ever too so thats a steal.
Here was the car a couple days ago:

The only other things ive done to her is blacked out the emblems and rims with plasti-dip. Future plans for her: SIII front and rear splitters
SIII Wing
JDM Tails
Matte Black exterior
Headers
Custom exhaust with resonator and hi-flow cat
Bigger/Better Rims (looking for a set of 7th gen GT-S)
Vincent_Doggy Seat covers (pretty much whole interior)
and MAYBE a beams swap.

Theres probably a lot more im missing but im here for the long run. Nice to finally meet all of you. I look forward to

so far ive got my music up and running minus the sub, dont have the time to build the custom trunk set up i want but will do so when time becomes available. had to get a new battery, installed my jdm tails, and my yellow h1 bulbs. not as yellow as i would like but oh well it works fine with my 6k hids. thanks for the compliments. hope to one day have a 6gc that is talked about and worthy. or just good enough for me.

Hard to find and very expensive but most say they're worth it... get projectors.
