I've got 7th gen gts wheels on right now. 16x6.5. I'm running longer studs and 15mm spacers just to make them barely clear the front calipers.
Thinking of buying these new ones. Here is how the car sits right now The new (to me) rims I am considering: How it may look on the car. I didn't have the right lugs with me so I couldn't lower it to the ground The Pro's -Lots of clearance around the brake parts (I can fit my hand around them) -No spacers required -8" wide as opposed to 6.5" (The rear end looks awesome with big fat tires back there) -Will fill the wheel wells more -Looks very flush so far -I think they look real sharp but it is hard to tell with the car in the air and only one wheel on. The Con's -Quite a bit heavier than current wheels (which means they are ridiculously heavy compared to the stock alloys) -Can't really afford them unless I sell my current setup -The tires are no good, I will need to replace them -Might fit the wheel wells a little too much and cause rubbing under hard turns -bloody heavy This post has been edited by schmooot: May 4, 2012 - 9:24 PM -------------------- ST205 Crew represent

I think I've made my decision. They are a crap brand...on par with Core rims. And still uber heavy. I'll keep my eyes peeled for some 17x7.5 or maybe 17x8 down the road. Don't need to be buying rims right now when I've got perfectly good ones on the car

^ I came here to say that and you said it for me. I've got heavy wheels and it's not fantastic. You've got turbo power to move them, so shouldn't affect things as much as it would an ST...but still, I'd be willing to bet a dynamic penalty would be involved.

The GTS wheels make the brakes look enormous. Maybe a bit of a drop+new color on the GTS wheels? Gloss white, green, gold, bronze... anything

I have the 7th gen gt-s rims on mine also and I personally wanted to throw on some sti gold rims but after thinking about it. I think I'll just get my rims refurbished and just keep the gts rims. It looks more "street" sporty compared to "rally" sporty. Lol. Was thinking about powder coating it GOLD. I photoshopped it and it came out nice but it's an oem rim. IMO OEM rims should never be powder coated or anything besides refurbishing. "Keep it original" is what I try best to do on our Celicas. Lol.
