you have to take out the entire plsatic surround that covers the shifter, to make easier access to remove all botls

hmm

itty bitty complicated...

you car needs to look like this....

held by several screws, and need to wiggle it between the glove box, and the under the steering wheel cover.

may need to remove seats to access the screws.

only held by a total of 4 orr 6 screws

You're kidding right.. I have to take all that out just to get to the amp? Damn I might as well keep trying to take the bolt off through the hole that the ac unit and radio sit in..

trust me it's a lot easier to remove that surround.. i've replaced my amp before.
but you don't need to remove the seats like in that picture

no, but a good chance to vacuum...

the screws are blocked by the seats, but a good 10mm wrench can help.

but yes its easy, and you will find quarters, pennies, joints, pencils, bugs, etc.

I used a racheting 10mm wrench to remove the nuts/bts without pulling the entire dash out just the radio and shifter trim.

You can get two of the bolts/nuts from above but the passenger side one on the floorboard has to be gotten with a 10mm between the dash and carpet on the pass. side footwell
