thanks everyone. I got a little bit done today, but not much.
I know it looks like **** lol cause its not done, but anyone who has done something like this knows its not pretty till the end.
I dont have anything to do tomorrow so i should get alot done, and post up new pics. I think ill have the basic shaping all done tomorrow, just alot of sanding and tedious details after that
and im going to New River, NC

Well only got like 2 hours to work on this, and most of it was just sanding. But most of the work is done now, just hours and hours of sanding to come. Will have pics tomorrow of it with the lights in but figured id put these pics up now.

Got the lights wired up too while a coat was drying

Did a little work on the rear as well. Thats pretty much done, and got all the wiring done

Then installed the box I made a couple weeks back. Have the sides pretty much done too (goes around the top so there isnt the big gaps on the sides) but they aren't at this house.

Arent you worry about the bondo and paint cracking. You can get away with a lot on hard surfaces (rear fenders etc). But i know how flimsy those fiberglass or polyfiber bumpers are. They flex a little at highway speeds, not to mention if it happens to be bumped.

lmao i never saw the robot face, thats kinda funny.

And theres 2 cans on it now, just bought a third. Should only need three. But ive been using it all over the car, not just the front. And used some to finish the speaker box.

As far as cracking, i just have to deal with it if it does. Im going to be painting the car myself again anyhow so if i have to spray something after, its not a big deal. But none of the other parts have cracked, and i did something similar on my friends car and its still fine. the only thing that cracks is the bondo glazing putty stuff, even in like tiny cracks ive never had luck with it. Thats why i take forever just sanding it all, rather than fill the tiny cracks with it.

Got the left side pretty much done, but I dont know if I will get back to the car today for better pics.

Might want to try bondo glass or bondo hair
It's a lot strong than regular bondo

I tried bondo hair like the first time i did anything and it just made a mess. probably because i had no idea what i was doing but regular bondo is super easy for my to work with. I will try it with my next project though... got some ideas on a sub box for 2 18" wink.gif

That's all I use lol then I use bondo time you use glaze
If you fine bondo hair to be too messy try bondo glsss. It's shorter hairs an a little easyer to use

I think its starting to shape up biggrin.gif
Love it, hate it?
Had most of the day finally to work on this. Alot of time spent making the outside of the lights and hood work.
Also got the left side done and primed, but no pics ill grab some tomorrow should have the right side done then too. Also finished up the wiring for the front.

Took them out and sanded alot more, and primed. Still a long way to go but its getting there

Looks like a lot of work done there!........ but would it not have been easier just modding a Supra front end to fix on?, will it be ok jarring in a pothole without falling off/cracking.

Well done though!

Got it pretty much done, obviously alot more work to be done still to make it perfect, but I dont have the time now to do it. Lights are wired up, and i think it looks pretty good

Getting started yesterday

then rain frown.gif

Started again today

Got lights in, ran out of primer too it will look better tomorrow.

Closing the hood biggrin.gif

Progression

Still have a lot to do. The rear is done too i just didnt snap any pics. I just need to figure out the wiring on the rear.

What does 6gc think?

bondo needs alot of work on the edges and making it look flat...intercooler area seems a bit crooked...but I guess its not all finished either though...I hate bondo because I've never seen anyone do anything that doesnt look perfect to me
